VPA sets 2 new records

Visakhapatnam Visakhapatnam Port Authority has (VPA) has created two new records by surpassing the previous record. The VPA achieved the milestone of highest container handling ever record in a single day from a single voyage (ship) on Saturday in its container terminal.

Visakha Container Terminal Pvt Ltd (VCTPL), the PPP/ BOT operator of Vizag Port handled the highest parcel size of 4,035 TEUs containers in a single voyage called through MSC Giada lll, which was the highest TEUs record in a singl voyage surpassing the previous best of 3921 TEUs from MV MSC Aldi lll ship in December, 2021. VPA Chairperson M Angamuthu, on Sunday appreciated the officials and the terminal operator in achieving the new record. He also advised the port employees to do team work to scale new records.
